Degree Requirements

A minimum of 127 credits is required for the B.A. Degree in American Studies.

GENERAL EDUCATION: 45 credits

BACHELOR OF ARTS DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: 24 credits
Foreign Language: proficiency of 12 credits of coursework or the equivalent
Arts: 3 credits
Humanities: 3 credits
Social and Behavioral Sciences: 3 credits
Other Cultures: 3 credits

ELECTIVES: 18 credits

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MAJOR: 42 credits (a student enrolled in this major must receive a grade of C or better)
