The Penn State Alumni Association is the largest Alumni Association in the world and continues to grow annually. Berks Campus is fortunate to have two PSAA service organizations. The Berks Campus Alumni Society and the Penn State Berks Chapter. The Society focus is for the Students of Berks Campus and the Berks Campus as a whole. I am proud to serve as a Board Member and President of the Berks Society. There is currently one Affiliate Program Group, or APG, within the Berks Society. The WPI APG, or Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute, APG. WPI was the beginning entity of today's Berks Campus and all WPI Alumni are also PSU Alumni. We work in conjunction with the Blue and White Society, which is the student contingent of the Penn State Alumni Association. Our Society is proud to support a working, strong, and award winning Penn State Berks Chapter.

We sponsor the following student events and we are striving to add more: The Welcome Back Picnic, Homecoming Float, and Homecoming Bathtub Race, run by the Blue and White Society. We run a Spring and Fall Student Bingo event and had run a Texas Hold 'em Tournament for the past several years. The Society created an Endowed Student Scholarship, the first time I was President, 1995 to 1997, which benefits Berks Campus Students. Since I became President again in January 2010, we have added to that Scholarship and will add to the Scholarship annually. For Alumni and for the benefit of the Society's Endowed Student Scholarship we have run such programs as the Penn State Ice Cream Sale (co-sponsored by the Spring Township Library), the Ghost Stories Tour and Talk with Charlie Adams, the Annual PSU Berks Fall Classic Tennis Tournament at Exeter High School, and an away game bus trip to the Temple game in Philadelphia co-sponsored by the Berks County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association. We also ran a joint social event, the wine tasting tour at Long Trout Winery in Auburn with the Schuylkill Campus Society.

We are in a current campaign for Penn State entitled, "For the Future: The Campaign for Penn State Students", which will continue until June of 2014. Contributions for the Society’s Endowed Scholarship would be greatly appreciated and will support this current campaign. The Perkins Plaza will soon be built on Campus near the Perkins Student Center. Please contact Dave Delozier, Director of Development and Alumni Relations (610-396-6056), for details on how you may make a tax deductible donation to the Perkins Plaza or the Society Endowed Scholarship, which benefits Penn State Berks Students.

I am very proud of my Berks Campus Society Board. The Board works very hard but has fun working with our students and on events. We are always looking for new members and volunteers to help us build for the future of this growing Berks Campus. It is a fun way for Alumni to give back to their Alma Mater. Please consider joining our Society Board or just volunteering for our events. Elections are held annually, starting in March and ending in June. We need your strength, desire, good will, and new program ideas to make the Penn State Berks Campus Society even stronger than we are today.

FOR THE FUTURE … that we wait.
WE ARE PENN STATE!!!!!!
