Creating a Sustainable Organization: A Strategic Approach
A sustainable organization has been defined as "an organization that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." This interactive workshop will focus on the development of a strategic business approach that a company can follow to define and plan sustainable practices from design to delivery in their supply chains.
Attendees will be given a template to take back to their businesses and work to establish the standard. Discussions will include current sustainability guidelines such as ISO 14000 and 26000, Social Accountability 8000, the UN Global Compact, and the Green SCOR Model.
