Penn State Berks provides options for adults interested in pursuing careers in accounting and financial services. The courses are offered in the evening and late afternoons to meet the needs of working adults.
Accounting focuses on the development and interpretation of financial information critical to managerial decision-making. The Accounting Option prepares students for a wide range of careers, including corporate controller, treasurer, budget director, auditor, tax planner, and consultant. The Accounting Option provides students with a foundation in intermediate accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, information systems, and auditing.
Financial Services Option
The Financial Services Option prepares students for careers in a wide range of financial service organizations, such as banks, credit companies, real estate, and insurance brokerages. It is also applicable to a wide range of industries, including insurance, financial and wealth management, and corporate financial analysis.
If you are just starting your education in business, Penn State Berks offers an associate degree in business, as well.
In a Wall Street Journal survey, corporate recruiters ranked Penn State the top school in the country in producing graduates ready to succeed on the job after graduation.
