Creativity & Technology: A Happy "edVenture"

 The fun filled week will explore the fundamentals of writing a good story, reading and writing scripts, character exploration, digital tools, iMovie basics, and filmmaking/animation.  No technology experience needed-creativity found in class!

Make Your First 3D Video Game/Minecraft Designers Camp * NEW

If  our child loves playing video games, this camp is sure to please.  No prior experience is necessary, just a desire to have fun.  Campers will learn the basics in design, animation, and simple coding.

RoboCamp: Where Minds Meet Technology

 Campers will work in teams, building and programming NXT Mindstorms.  Students will accept various challenges throughout the week to make their robots perform.  Fun, learning, and competition all wrapped up in one memorable week.

 Robo Camp II continues the robotics experience, placing more challenges before eager learners.  Participants must have attended the first Robo Camp or have computer familiarity for this particular camp.

Age appropriate hands-on activities that demonstrate engineering principles, individual and group activities/competitions using machines built by campers, and use of  K'Nex building systems and Bobots.

Experience chemistry in everyday life as it relates to the environment, criminal investigation, and cooking through fun individual and group activities.

Youth Architect-The Building Blocks of Design

Does your child enjoy building, designing, and/or creating structures from toys or a computer? This camp will demystify the design process by taking a concept and teaching budding architects, step-by-step, the processes needed to make a concept a reality.

Register for Berks Summer Camp

Credit Card Registrations

One line registration is now active for those who wish to use a credit card. Registrations will occur in real time; just click on the link for the camp you want to enroll your child.  You must also complete the required consent forms and return them to:  Penn State Berks, Continuing Education, P.O. Box 7009, Reading, PA  19610-6009.  Documents can also be FAXED to 610-396-6226 or scanned to emb1@psu.edu.

Check/Money Order Registrations

If you prefer not registering on-line, you can complete a paper registration form.  That completed form should be mailed to:  Noncredit Registration, P.O. BOX 410, State College, PA  16804-0410.   Additional consent forms are  required for your registration to be considered complete.  These forms include the medical authorization form, photography release, liability release, computer access account, and code of conduct.  Those forms should be returned to Penn State Berks, Continuing Education, P.O. Box 7009, Reading, PA  19610-6009. 

NOTE:  You only need to complete one set of paperwork for a child attending multiple camps. If siblings are attending camps, each child should have their own set of paperwork.   If you already completed the medical authorization form on line, you DO NOT need to complete the form again.
