Penn State Berks Youth Camps are for both high school and middle school students. Our high school camps, for students entering 9th through 12th grades in fall 2009, allow campers to choose between a commuter or resident option (commuter option only for the Computer & Cyber Security Camp). Students will stay in the Berks dorms thereby making for a true college experience. Camps start at 8:30 AM and conclude at 4:00 PM. Resident assistants stay with the students from the end of the camp day until the the start of camp the next morning. Evening activities are planned to ensure group involvement.
HIGH SCHOOL CAMPS, our Discovery Series includes the following camps:
- Discovering Computer & Cyber Security - The camp is now open to all Berks County residents who are sixteen and older without a fee. Please complete the registration panel and return to campus. Learn more about the camp sponsor, Wall Street West.
- Discovering Forensic Science - This camp is now filled
- Discovering Veterinary Science
JUST SCHEDULED: a second week of Vet Science camp for commuters only. This camp follows the original week. Class starts Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 17, 2009. Fee is $365 and includes lunch. Register now, openings are filling fast. - Discovering Engineering: Rockets, Robots and Race Cars

MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMPS
Our middle school camps run from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Students entering 5th-8th grades in fall 2009 are welcome to attend. Please note that there are exceptions for several of the camps; the exceptions are noted with an asterisk after the title.

- Science of Technology - Buildings, Bridges, and Robots

SOCCER CAMPS
New this summer are two soccer camps--one for girls and one for boys--featuring Penn State Berks NCAA III head men and women coaches and former European soccer players, Laszlo "Billy" Balazs and Munteanu Francisc. These camps are for students attending grades 4-9 in fall 2009. The camps will develop ball handling skills, as well as speed training and agility.
