Students intending to minor in Communication Arts and Sciences should
schedule CAS l00 as early as possible in their college program after their first year.
CAS l00 may not be counted as part of the minor.

Requirements (l8 credits):

I. Select 3 credits from the following:
CAS 211 Informative Speaking
CAS 213 Persuasive Speaking
CAS 252 Business and Professional Communication
  CAS 250 Small Group Communication
CAS 271 (GI) Intercultural Communication
CAS 283: Communication and Information Technology

II. Select 3 credits from the following:
CAS 200 Language, Culture, & Communication
CAS 201 Rhetorical Theory
CAS 230 Communication Theory

III. Additional courses in CAS (not to exceed l2 credits) selected according
to the student's interests and career plans. Be sure that at least 6 credits are at the 400-level.
