Barbara E. Mizdail is a Senior Lecturer of Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Technology at Penn State Berks. She has held various engineering positions in Fortune 100 companies, mainly in the Automotive field. Starting with the Chrysler Institute program where she received a M.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, she worked in Industry for Chrysler Corp., Ford Motor Co., Mack Trucks, Inc., and Dana Corporation, holding positions of increasing responsibility to the level of Director of Engineering. She teaches mechanical engineering, materials, processes and production engineering courses. Ms. Mizdail is an active member of the SAE International serving International committees, and the local Lehigh Valley Section Governing Board. At Penn State Berks she initiated the SAE Student Club, and then served as Faculty Advisor for eight years. The students successfully competed in the SAE International Baja competitions. Ms. Mizdail is also a member of the SME and ASEE.
