  • Strategic Plan Advocates & Council develop Strategic Plan Retreat

February 2009

  • Strategic Plan Council (SPC) begins to review Faculty Retreat roundtable discussion & feedback
  • SPC gives updates on progress of each action step and refines strategic plan scorecard
  • Strategic Planning at Berks is discussed at division meetings

January 2009

  • Faculty Retreat focuses on strategic plan, Dr. John Romano is keynote speaker
  • Strategic Plan advocates review responsibilities and give status to year one action steps

November 2008

  • Strategic Plan Advocates for Year One are identified
  • Strategic Planning Team (SPC) develops strategic plan score card.

October 2008

  • Building on 50 Years of Excellence key performance indicators (KPIs) are proposed.
  • Teams update planning activities on strategic plan blog.

September 2008

  • Strategic Plan Committee (SPC) meets.
  • Committee & PRA meet with units to discuss department strategic plans and alignment to "Building on 50 Years of Excellence."

August 2008

  • Chancellor approves campus team members and schedule.
  • Campus members assigned to one of five "Building on 50 Years of Excellence" Goal Teams & Strategic Planning Committee (SPC)

July 2008

  • Plan is sent to University Park.

June 2008

  • Budget considerations and enrollment projections information is available.
  • Plan is complete, approved by Chancellor.

February 2008

  • Fourth draft is endorsed at February 11, 2008 Faculty Senate Meeting!

January 2008

  • Third draft is available for faculty & staff comment.

December 2007

  • Based on comments, third draft prepared.

October 2007

  • Core Strategic Planning Team reviewed task force reports.
  • First draft of 2008-2013 strategic plan was presented to the Strategic Planning Council (SPC).
  • SPC submitted comments and suggestions.
  • Core Strategic Planning Team reviewed and revised first draft based on SPC review.
  • Second draft prepared and shared with Advisory Board, SGA, and Administrative Council.

September 2007

  • The five task forces have met to develop strategic initiatives.
  • Task force reports were submitted on October 1, 2007.

August 2007

  • The Strategic Planning Council has affirmed the mission and reviewed the assumptions and vision for the 2008-2013 strategic plan.
