Reed Timmer storms into Penn State Berks

Reed Timmer, from the Discovery Channel’s Storm Chasers, will speak about his experiences intercepting more than 250 tornadoes and a dozen powerful hurricanes during the last decade, on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.

Well-known as the most successful and extreme storm chaser in the world, Timmer is one of the few people to document both an F5 tornado and Hurricane Katrina, the most devastating hurricane in U.S. history. His hands-on experience with a vast assortment of hazardous weather and natural disasters, as well as his extensive education in the science of meteorology, have made him one of the world's most respected experts on severe weather forecasting, safety, and survival.
