The New Student Orientation (NSO) activities for incoming students at Penn State Berks consists of a two-part program. Part 1 (NSO1) occurs in May through mid-June and Part 2 (NSO2) occurs in August.
New Student Orientation Part 1
New Student Orientation Part 1 (NSO1) is conducted by Penn State's Division of Undergraduate Studies. NSO1 assists new first-year students in evaluating their educational plans by providing them with a comprehensive program of testing and individualized educational planning and academic advising. This program is the first stage of academic advising, and provides students with an understanding of their scholastic preparation, academic ability, and educational and professional interests. The program also introduces them to the academic structure and degree programs of the University. Read more about NSO1 »
New Student Orientation Part 2: August 23-25, 2013
The goal of New Student Orientation Part 2 (NSO2) is to introduce new students to life at Penn State Berks. The orientation program prepares new students for the academic challenges that lie ahead and shares resources to enhance their success as Penn State students. Becoming acclimated to the campus and meeting other students at New Student Orientation will ensure a positive start to your educational pursuits.
