In class we discuss the the correct way to organize your speeches and 
these sample outlines will give you an idea of what I expect in terms of
organization as well as ideas to use for your own speeches.  Use these 
examples as "checksheets" to make sure that you are following assignment
guidelines.
Once you've mastered the basic speech outline you may find that in some
contexts it is appropriate to change the outline format.  But in a basic 
course you are expected to follow the basic outline guidelines.Once
you've mastered the rules you will be far better effective in terms of 
knowing when those rules may be broken because of a particular
contextual demand.
