Students recieving information

Students admitted for Fall Semester

NSO1 Testing (Begins Mid-March)

After you accept your offer of admission, you will be scheduled to take NSO1 testing on the Web. Allow about 2 1/2 hours to take the tests. You will be given a deadline by which you MUST take these tests online in order to have the results scored, printed, and ready for you when you attend your NSO1 advising day. Details about the testing will be sent to you along with the notification of your deadline after March 15.

Students use the months of March, April and May to take the placement tests.

On-line scheduling of a NSO1 Date (Begins May 1st)

Students will be mailed a postcard with instructions on scheduling a NSO1 date.  NSO1 testing must be completed before a student will be permitted to access the on-line scheduling system.  If you choose a date and we do not have your test results, we will cancel your appointment. These postcards will be mailed beginning the end of March.

New Student Orientation Part 1: Advising and Scheduling (Begins End-of-May)

After you complete testing, your test scores and educational planning material will be sent from University Park to the Berks Academic Advising Department. A postcard inviting you to select a NSO1 date will be mailed to you after your information is received. We will begin sending these postcards in late March. The NSO1 program at Berks is a full day program. When you receive notification to choose your date, please choose the earliest possible date and refrain from changing it. However, if you cannot attend your assigned day, our staff will work with you to select a later NSO1 date. Canceling or changing your appointment may result in your not being able to schedule critical classes your first semester. If there is an unforeseen emergency that prevents you from making your NSO1 day, please contact the Academic Advising Center at 610-396-6280.

Please be sure that you report on the correct day. Do not schedule a date until you receive notice from us.
